YPSILANTI, MI — Ypsilanti area residents with financial questions can seek answers at an upcoming free event hosted by Fifth Third Bank in partnership with Ann Arbor SPARK.
Fifth Third Financial Empowerment Mobile is available from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 12. The eBus will be parked at the Ann Arbor SPARK East Innovation Center, 215 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti.
The eBus offers 12 computer stations, a classroom and an opportunity to speak with members of the Fifth Third team.
Discussion topics available include credit reporting and improving score and credit, as well as EverFi’s online courses on payday loans, estate building, and investing. Participants will also be able to work with NextJob to receive an online job coach, interview tips and resume writing lessons.
Financial Empowerment Mobile is designed to reach low- and moderate-income areas, which have traditionally been underserved by banks, according to the Fifth Third website. It will travel through eastern Michigan throughout August, stopping in Detroit, Pontiac, Eastpointe, Flint and Southfield, in addition to Ypsilanti. Find a full schedule on the Fifth Third website.
